Vestia is a large nationally operating housing association with over 89.000 units of housing stock. These houses are divided over many cities and villages in the Netherlands, but the largest concentration of houses is found in the regions Rotterdam and in and around The Hague.
The special thing of our organisation is that it consists of a holding with a main office and in addition a number of independent housing associations and specialised companies. In total about 1150 people are employed by Vestia. These employees are divided over about 18 offices. You can imagine that because of the fact that the largest concentration of our housing stock is found in Rotterdam and The Hague, most offices are found in those cities. Three in the Hague and five in Rotterdam. Instead of working all together in one big office to serve our clients we prefer to be always close by our clients. This means that we operate from decentralized offices that manage a housing stock of between 7000 and 10.000 units. This way we know best what our clients want and how to serve them.
These housing associations are fully equipped and responsible for the service tot their clients, their tenants. Moreover, they are also responsible for matters as renewal of areas in the big cities, new houses and the development of new products.

Then there is the main office in the Vestia organisation, called the Vestia Groep. One of the functions of this Groep is to support, facilitate and control the separate companies. Other functions are the coordination of the general policy of Vestia, directing projects concerning all our companies and creating clear communication guidelines such as a corporate identity, core values, key messages and the company mission. All communication expressions by the Groep and the independent housing associations are in line with these guidelines to provide an uniform and clear message to our clients and stakeholders.
To conclude we wish to state that the core business of Vestia is offering good and affordable houses for a broad public in attractive and stable neighbourhoods. Important target groups are households with low incomes and people who have special housing demands because of physical and other restrictions.
